Ellie Goulding made quite a splash with her new album Higher Than Heaven and set several major milestones on the UK charts following its release. Her latest LP easily debuted at No. 1 in the UK, helping Goulding achieve her very first chart double as her Calvin Harris collaboration “Miracle” returned to No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart.

Higher Than Heaven debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, with 11,818 album-equivalent units sold in its first week. It became her fourth studio album to reach No. 1 in this country, making her the only British female artist alongside Adele to achieve this feat.

Goulding said it was “such a lovely surprise” to score the first chart double of her career, and thanked her fans for making it happen.

“Guys, I am so, so happy to be holding these two awards for Number 1 album and Number 1 single. I’m speechless. This has made me so happy.  Thank you so much to everyone for supporting my album, buying it and streaming it, and for supporting ‘Miracle,’” said Goulding while speaking to Official Charts while accepting her awards.

Higher Than Heaven was released on April 7, and it was preceded by singles “Easy Lover”, “Let It Die” and “Like a Saviour”. Despite helping Goulding build the hype for this record, “Miracle” isn’t a part of it, and it’s expected to be featured on Calvin Harris’s next album.
