The Umbrella Academy may be wrapping up soon, but Elliot Page already has another exciting project on the way. The Oscar-nominated actor recently wrapped up production on the upcoming drama Close To You from BAFTA-winning filmmaker Dominic Savage.

Close To You will center on Sam, a man who must finally confront long-buried memories after having a chance encounter with an old friend while traveling back home to a dreaded family reunion. The film already wrapped production in Canada, and Hillary Baack (Sound of Metal) will play one of the lead roles alongside Page.

Writer-director Dominic Savage praised Page’s commitment to this project, adding he’s proud of what they’ve achieved together.

“It has been a remarkable experience to collaborate with Elliot Page on this very special and unique film about love, identity, and family… It has been an honor to work with Elliot to bring this very poignant, personal, and important story to life and to the screen,” said Savage in a statement.

Page will next appear in the fourth and final season of the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, which still doesn’t have an official release date. He’s been branching out to other projects outside of acting in recent years, including his memoir Pageboy and production company Page Boy Productions.
