Respect is coming!
Nothing like some on-screen sibling rivalry to help Elmo teach the world about respect.
For some bizarre reason, HBO and Sesame Street have teamed up to bring us a one-of-a-kind crossover between Sesame Street and Game of Thrones for a kid-friendly PSA in which Elmo has traveled all the way to King’s Landing.
There he joins siblings Cersei (Lena Headey) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). Now if you’re at all familiar with GoT, you know that Cersei and Tyrion’s dynamics are a bit more complicated than simple sibling rivalry.
As the two bicker, Elmo joins then and offers to mediate. “You two need to respect each other. “When Elmo has a problem with his friends like Abby or Cookie Monster, Elmo doesn’t get upset. Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say.”
“If we stop fighting and work together, we can be stronger,” Tyrion adds. “I’m willing to learn and listen if you are.”
Apprehensive at first, Elmo turns to Cersei and asks, “Will Miss Cersei try listen and understand what Mr. Tyrion is saying,” to which she replies, “I can try.”
