The film adaptation of the classic ’80s series The Fall Guy is coming our way and its cast is shaping up to be amazing. Ryan Gosling is leading the project and he’ll be in pretty good company since Emily Blunt just joined Universal’s adaptation.

The Fall Guy aired on ABC between 1981 and 1988 and it centered on a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter, using his knowledge of stunt effects to capture fugitives and criminals with the help of his cousin and a fellow stuntwoman.

Plot details of the show’s upcoming big screen adaptation are being kept under wraps, and it’s unclear if it will focus on the same set of characters or introduce new ones. David Leitch, whose most recent film Bullet Train just topped the box office for the second straight week, is set to direct this project, in addition to serving as a writer and executive producer.

The Fall Guy marks the latest action-heavy role for Blunt following her critically acclaimed turns in Edge of Tomorrow and the A Quiet Place franchise. She most recently wrapped production on Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and is currently attached to the TV series The English and crime drama Pain Hustlers, costarring Chris Evans.
