Eminem is no stranger to dropping surprise albums and he’s done it again.

Days after rumors surfaced that a release of a follow-up to Eminem’s most recent album is coming, a new album, Music to Get Murdered By – Side B was dropped.

The album comes 11 months after Eminem’s surprise-released Music to Be Murdered By, which features Juice WRLD, Ed Sheeran, Young M.A, Anderson .Paak, and production from Dr. Dre.

The 16-track Side B features 13 songs with three skits. Collaborators include Dr. Dre (rapping on “Guns Blazing” and co-producing “Discombobulated”), Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Premier, and Skylar Gray. The album has lots of COVID-19 references and fast wordplay.

Back in February, Eminem gave a surprise performance at the Academy Awards, years after winning the Best Song Oscar for “Lose Yourself”. And two weeks ago, Eminem had a cameo in an SNL sketch in which he spoofed his 2000 song “Stan”, which featured Pete Davidson.

After his Oscar performance, Eminem told Variety that he didn’t have any plans for the future,  “I don’t really have anything coming up next, to be honest, just whatever videos come along,” he said. “We don’t have anything written in stone just yet.”
