Eminem is returning to acting—even if it’s brief.

He’s set to make an appearance in 50 Cent’s forthcoming Starz drama series BMF (Black Mafia Family). The rapper will be playing FBI informant Richard Wershe Jr. aka White Boy Rick.

Wershe was an FBI informant as a teenager during the mid-1980s and he infiltrated a Detroit gang. In 1987, at the age of 17, he was dumped by the FBI and arrested for drug possession and sentenced to life in prison. He was paroled and released last year at the age of 50. Despite Wershe’s limited role in the gang, he’s become iconic in the hip-hop world. There has been a documentary on his life titled White Boy and a scripted drama titled White Boy Rick.

Eminem’s performance will be brief—he’ll be featured in one episode.

“I’m honored and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show ‘BMF,’” said 50 Cent in a statement via NME. “We couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem.”

BMF will premiere on September 26 on Starz and it’s inspired by the true story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory who founded the drug and money laundering organization Black Mafia Family in 1989 in Detroit.
