What made Eminem’s performance so impactful on social media was the fact that no one saw it coming. The Academy previously announced the musical performers at the ceremony, but he wasn’t one of them.
Eminem took the stage at the Oscars to perform his song “Lose Your Self” from the movie 8 Mile, which won the best original song award 18 years ago.
