It looks like Emma Stone isn’t single anymore. Page Six TV revealed that Stone is now dating Dave McCary, SNL’s segment director and writer. According to sources the two are dating for three months now.
Stone and McCary met in December 2016, when she did a hosting gig at the SNL and starred in the sketch titled Wells for Boys, which was directed by McCary. You can check the sketch below.
The couple is trying to keep their relationship low-key, so we might not get as many details as we want. We do know, however, that Emma was at the premiere of Dave’s film feature directorial debut Brigsby Bear.
Prior to McCary, Emma dated her The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield. She and Garfield began dating in 2010, during the production of the movie, and at one point they were even close to getting engaged. However, engagement never came and the couple broke up in 2015.
After starring in numerous both commercially and critically successful movies, Emma Stone is now regarded as one of the most talented actresses of her generation. Her biggest success came in 2016 when she portrayed a role of an aspiring actress Mia in Damien Chazelle’s La La Land. Stone received the Academy Award for best actress.
Dave McCary first gained prominence as a member of the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor, which he co-founded with Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Nick Rutherford. Although the group has filmed a pilot for Comedy Central, they ended up joining SNL in various roles.
