We’re sending hugs Emma Stone’s way.

The Oscar winner is starring in the new film, The Favourite, and revealed that she had quite a traumatizing encounter on set.

Set in the 18th century, Emma’s character was required to do a scene with an animal which left her feeling very emotional.

“Well, just in the end — I don’t want to give anything away — but I have to be a little bit aggressive in the end with a bunny,” recalled the actress, who is an outspoken animal lover. “I cried my eyes out for about an hour.”

Aww.

“They sort of talked me through it and how it would be a gentle and okay thing but, no its very, very upsetting. Any idea of ever harming an animal in any way is crushing to me.”

But don’t worry, the process was all movie magic.

“The bunny was totally fine,” she said.

And we hope she is, too.
