Enrique Iglesias gave us many amazing albums over the course of his career, and it seems he’s gearing up for his final record. The Spanish singer recently revealed that his next album is probably going to be his last, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s retiring from music.

Iglesias shared the news in a recent Instagram live with Ricky Martin and Sebastián Yatra, and admitted this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision, but something he’s been thinking about for a while.

“It’s something that I have been thinking about for the past few years. There’s going to be Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but they’re final. I’m in that moment in my life, that chapter in my life, where I think it’s the right time to put it out and I’ve been thinking about this since 2015,” explained Iglesias.

The Spanish hitmaker took the opportunity to reassure his fans this doesn’t mean he’s taking hiatus from music. He’ll keep writing and releasing songs, but he doesn’t intend to have them “packaged as an album”.

Iglesias’ upcoming eleventh studio album will be titled Final, and it’s set to be released on September 17th.
