Fans of Euphoria spent almost two years waiting for the show’s second season, but the wait is finally over. The new teaser for the second chapter of the critically acclaimed teen drama is here, and it reveals a January release date.

The teaser opens with Zendaya’s Rue Bennett dancing to the beat of Frank Sinatra’s “Call Me Irresponsible”. As the teaser offers glimpses of other characters engaging in all sorts of wild shenanigans, Rue’s voiceover can be heard in the background: “When you’re younger, everything feels so permanent. But as you get older, you begin to realize nothing is and everyone you love can drift away.”

In addition to Zendaya, the new teaser confirms the return of Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demi, Hunter Schafer, Maud Apatow, Jacob Elordi, and Storm Reid. It also introduces several newcomers, starting with Dominic Fike.

Euphoria originally premiered in 2019, and it centers on a group of high schoolers trying to navigate their teenage years while struggling with issues of substance abuse, intimacy, love, and friendship. The first season was met with positive reviews and won Zendaya an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series.

Season 2 of Euphoria will return to HBO on January 9th, 2022 and it was preceded by two one-hour specials.
