The wait for the third season of Euphoria has been pretty long, and its ending is nowhere in sight. HBO addressed recent reports that Season 3 was scrapped, announcing that the production has been pushed again since Sam Levinson is still working on the scripts.

Rumors about the show’s potential cancelation recently started circulating on the internet, and HBO’s representatives decided to address them head-on.

“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities,” reads HBO’s official statement to Deadline.

The network remains committed to delivering Season 3 in 2025, but the future of the hit teen drama remains murky. Deadline reports that its creator Sam Levinson is still finalizing the script and it remains unclear when the production will kick off.

Many Euphoria stars moved on to other projects since the show’s second season in 2022. Zendaya appeared in the Dune franchise and will soon lead Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, Jacob Elordi starred in last year’s Saltburn and Priscilla, Sydney Sweeney led Reality, Anyone but You, and Immaculate, while Hunter Schafer landed roles in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Cuckoo, and Kinds of Kindness.

Euphoria also stars Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, Nika King, Storm Reid, and Colman Domingo. Barbie Ferreira announced her departure ahead of Season 3, while Angus Cloud tragically passed away last year.
