Eva Longoria directed episodes of several hit TV shows, and she’s ready to take things to a new level. The Desperate Housewife will make her feature directorial debut with the upcoming workplace comedy 24-7.

Longoria won’t limit her involvement to simply sitting in the director’s chair. She’ll also be a member of the ensemble cast, led by the Scandal actress Kerry Washington. Both stars will serve as producers through their respective banners UnbeliEVAble Entertainment and Simpson Street.

24-7 is based on a script by Sarah Rothschild. It tells the story of a group of female accountants who band together against a group of male co-workers to solve a fraud case that will save their jobs. If you think this synopsis sounds a bit familiar, it’s not a coincidence. Classic female-centric workplace comedy Nine to Five serves as main inspiration for this project.

Before taking a leap of faith with 24-7, Eva Longoria helmed numerous episodes of television shows such as Black-ish, Jane the Virgin and Telenovela. She also directed the upcoming environmental documentary Sanctuary, which highlights the future of the Arctic Ocean.
