No one wants to see the Friends cast back together more than us, but whether we ever will is still up for debate apparently.

Show creator, Marta Kaufman, has been vehemently adamant that no reboot of the beloved series would ever take place. So imagine fans’ excitement when it was announced that a reunion special would be held on HBO Max!

The special is set to feature the main cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, as well as the comedy’s creators.

However, it looks like our coffee date at Central Perk may be in jeopardy…

“I don’t know,” Kaufman said when asked about the reunion’s probability. “That is the honest answer, I don’t know. People are talking about it, but I don’t know if it’s actually going to happen.”

The doubt relates to negotiations currently being at a standstill due to an eight-figure discrepancy between what the cast is seeking money-wise and what Warner Bros. studio is willing to pay.
