Netflix canceled many beloved TV shows this year, but Family Reunion was lucky enough not to end up on the chopping block. The popular streaming service will be bringing this sitcom back for its second season.

Family Reunion follows a family of six who travels from Seattle to Georgia and decides to settle in this state to be closer to their extended family. This transition proves harder than they expected, as they find themselves feeling like a fish out of water in this new environment.

This sitcom was created by Meg DeLoatch and its first season started streaming on Netflix on July 10th. It’s led by Tia Mowry and Anthony Alabi, and also stars Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, Jordyn Raya James and Loretta Devine.

It may seem like Netflix has been canceling its beloved shows left and right this year, but Family Reunion isn’t the only new comedy show that was picked up for its second season. Critically acclaimed shows Dead to Me, Russian Doll and After Life are also set to come back.
