Bella Thorne and Georgie Flores in "Famous in Love"

Famous In Love, based on the book series by Rebecca Serle, has been canceled at Freedom.

The series aired on the cable network for two seasons. New of the cancellation comes two weeks after fellow series Shadowrunners was also canceled at Freedom. TVLine reports that the official decision was made Friday.

“We are proud to have had the opportunity to air Famous In Love,” reads the official statement by Freedom. ‘After many discussions, we have made the difficult decision not to renew the show for a third season. We want to thank our colleagues at Warner Horizon and our incredible producers, writers, cast and crew, especially Marlene King, for their creativity, hard work and dedication.”

The series followed college student Paige Townsen (played by Thorne) as she gets her big break scoring a lead role in a Hollywood feature.  The series also starred Charlie DePew, Georgie Flores, Carter Jenkins, Niki Koss, Keith Powers, Pepi Sonuga, and Perrey Reeves.

Famous In Love was executive produced by Marlene King who also served as showrunner alongside Melissa Carter. It was produced by Long Lake Media, Farah Films and Carmina Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television.
