Fans Have Scored “Stranger Things” a Netflix Record

Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo in "Stranger Things"

If you haven’t yet watched season three of Stranger Things, you’ve got some catching up to do.

The third installment of the sci-fi series came out on July 4th and once again sees Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp trying to save Hawkins from whatever lurks in the Upside-Down.

Coinciding with Independence Day in the US means that fans had time off to binge-watch the series, and according to Netflix, millions did just that.

40.7 million to be precise.

The streaming service stated that the 40.7 million household accounts watched season 3 — completed 70% or more of an episode — and 18.2 million have so far watched all eight episodes.

The impressive figures mean that Stranger Things has now laid claim to Netflix’s four-day record.

Totally tubular!
