The filming of Brady Corbet’s next film The Brutalist is underway in Hungary, and its cast is getting more amazing by the day. Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn are the latest stars to join this sweeping immigrant drama.

The Brutalist will center on a visionary architect named László Toth (Joel Edgerton) and his life Erzsébet (Marion Cotillard), chronicling their lives over the course of three decades. After fleeing post-war Europe to rebuild their legacy in America, their lives are changed forever after they run into a mysterious and wealthy client (Mark Rylance).

Edgerton and Oscar winners Cotillard and Rylance were among the first actors cast in this project, alongside Sebastian Stan (Captain America), Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Isaach De Bankolé (Black Panther), Alessandro Nivola (American Hustle), Raffey Cassidy (The Killing of a Sacred Deer), and Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac).

After the principal photography kicked off in Hungary in recent weeks, it was confirmed that the cast would include several more A-list stars, starting with Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Guy Pearce (Mare of Easttown), and Joe Alwyn (Conversations with Friends).

Corbert wrote the script for The Brutalist alongside Mona Fastvold, and this will mark his third feature directorial effort following The Childhood of a Leader and Vox Lux.
