Ryan Murphy gave us one of his best anthology series with Feud, and its second chapter is just around the corner. FX dropped the first teaser for Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, which centers on writer Truman Capote and a group of high-society women who were once a part of his inner circle.
The acclaimed writer Truman Capote was a confidante to New York’s society’s most elite women during his heyday, but their close-knit relationships eventually came crashing down.
His act of betrayal effectively destroyed his friendship with “the swans”, who banished him from high society and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.
FX’s first teaser trailer doesn’t reveal too much of the plot, but it offers the look of Capote’s “swans”, “Babe” Paley (Naomi Watts), Slim Keith (Diane Lane), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny), Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart), Ann Woodward (Demi Moore), and Joanne Carson (Molly Ringwald).
Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans will be led by Tom Hollander in the role of Truman Capote, while the supporting cast also includes Treat Williams, Joe Mantello, Russell Tovey, and Jessica Lange. This limited series will feature a total of eight episodes, set to premiere on FX on January 31, 2024.
