The official trailer for Tom Hanks’ upcoming sci-fi movie Finch has been released by Apple TV+.
Finch, which was formerly titled Bios, follows the lone survivor (Hanks) of a global apocalypse who goes on a dangerous journey to find a new home for his dog and newly created robot (Caleb Landry Jones).
“It all happened so fast,” Tom Hanks says in the trailer. “There was a solar flare. Goodbye crops and food, goodbye everything.”
Miguel Sapochnikm, who helmed several Game of Thrones episodes, directed Finch.
Craig Luck and Ivor Powell wrote the movie. Powell also produced Kevin Misher, Jack Rapke, and Jacqueline Levine. Zapochnik and Luck exec produced with Robert Zemeckis, Andy Berman, Adam Merims, and Frank Smith, and Naia Cucukov.
Not only was Finch was originally titled Bios, but the movie also switched distributors and premiere dates. Originally it was set to be released in theaters by Universal Pictures in October 2020, but it was acquired by Apple in August.
Finch will debut on Apple TV+ on November 5. Check out the trailer below.
