Fiona Shaw Joins “Enola Holmes Mysteries”

The casting mystery of the new Enola Holmes film is slowly being solved.

The girl with the famous surname is the sister of the famous Sherlock Holmes and his brother Mycroft and a rather competent detective in her own right.

Her stories are the subject of the Enola Holmes Mysteries series of books written by Nancy Springer, with the first having come out in 2006. The six novels chronicle the mysteries solved by the 14-year-old and also features her detective brother who is two decades her senior.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that BAFTA winner Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), has joined the high-profile cast of Enola Holmes.

Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown, has signed on to portray the titular character and will also produce the film adaptation.

The role of Sherlock will be played by Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill, while Helena Bonham Carter of Les Misérables will star as their mother Mrs. Holmes. Adeel Akhtar from The Night Manager has also been added to the cast.

Filming is set to begin in England in July.
