The masterminds behind American Horror Story did a great job teasing its twelfth season, and they finally shared the final piece of the puzzle with the show’s fans. The first full trailer for American Horror Story: Delicate is here, and it’s as chilling as it gets.
The next chapter of the hit anthology series draws inspiration from Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition, and it’s been described as a feminist update to Rosemary’s Baby.
According to its official synopsis, it’s “a gripping thriller about an actress (Emma Roberts) who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”
In addition to Roberts in the lead role, the star-studded cast of American Horror Story: Delicate will also include Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry, Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez.
Season 12 of American Horror Story is the first to lean into the source material and not feature Ryan Murphy as its showrunner. Halley Feiffer will replace him in this role, but Murphy will still be credited as an executive producer alongside the AHS co-creator Brad Falchuk.
American Horror Story: Delicate will premiere on FX on September 20, and it will be divided into two parts because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
