The Ghostbusters franchise is constantly expanding, and the next sequel will be the best of both worlds! The first trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will give you chills, and it sees new and old Ghostbusters joining forces to save the day.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will see the Spengler family return to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse. They’ll join forces with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take the art of busting ghosts to new heights.
The trouble starts when an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, and it’s up to Ghostbusters—both new and old—to come together and join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton will reprise their roles from the earlier Ghostbusters films, while Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim will return as their newly introduced franchise characters from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind will join the franchise in undisclosed roles.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be released by Sony Pictures on March 29, 2024, as the fifth installment in this beloved franchise.
