Florence and the Machine is making a major comeback this year, and they just gave us another amazing single with “Heaven is Here”. It’s one of the songs set to be featured on her fifth studio album, and its powerful music video comes with an interesting backstory.

The Autumn de Wilde-directed visual was shot in Kyiv, Ukraine back in November, and it shows Florence Welch performing a quirky choreography inside an abandoned office space, with a group of dancers.

Welch released an official statement saying she wrote the lyrics and music “specifically with contemporary dance in mind” and explained how the song came about.

“’Heaven Is Here’ was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio. I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamor of joy, fury, and grief was the first thing that came out,” wrote Welch on social media.

“Heaven is Here” will serve as one of the singles on her upcoming fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2018’s High as Hope.
