If you need another proof Katy Perry is still ruling the world of pop music, Forbes got you covered. This publication just unveiled their annual list of the highest-paid women in the music industry, and Dark Horse singer ended up taking the top spot with $83 million.
Perry’s latest studio album Witness came out in June last year, and the singer quickly embarked on a world tour in support of it. Much of her earnings came from this tour, and it’s been rumored she pocketed around $1 million for each of her 80 concerts.
Katy Perry doesn’t owe her entire fortune earned during June-to-June time-frame to Witness: The Tour. She also served as a judge on Season 16 of American Idol and reportedly walked away with a $20 million paycheck.
She was closely followed by Taylor Swift, who earned $80 million between June 2017 and June 2018, according to Forbes. Beyoncé took the third spot, with $60 million in the bank.
