Ronda Rousey is having a career change. She will become the next WWE star after signing a full-time contract to become one of the organization’s professional wrestlers. Rousey made her appearance at the WWE’s Royal Rumble on Sunday (with Bad Reputation by Joan Jett blasting from the speakers) and already confronted Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner Asuka.

“This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt,” said Rousey about her decision to join WWE. “When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.'”

“It’s funny—it’s kind of like acting, in that it was something I always wanted to do but I never thought was in the cards for me,” – she added. “And now that I realize I really do have this opportunity, I feel like my 6-year-old self would totally kick my ass if I didn’t take it.”

After becoming the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in judo, Rousey entered MMA, winning her first 12 fights. She also had six consecutive wins in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, holding the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion before her loss to Holly Holm in November 2015. She attempted to return to UFC after the loss but lost once again.

Ronda Rousey is also active as an actress, landing her first role in The Expendables 3. She went on to star in the movie Furious 7 and TV shows Drunk History and Blindspot.
