Days after Wendy Williams apologized for a lackluster job in her show due to health related issues, Fox renewed the show for two more seasons—keeping it on air until 2021.

Although the show’s ratings are often above average, Williams’ health concerns had placed it in jeopardy throughout 2018. The talk host missed the show for the first time early in February after she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. At the period, she remained off-air for three consecutive weeks.

In December, the 54-year-old fractured her shoulder and had to take pain medication to host her show. While she appeared on air, it was a total disaster. Wendy talked in a slurred manner offer muttering words without saying anything audible to her fans.

She apologized for the issue and promised a better show in 2019.

“As I reported earlier in the week, I have a hairline fracture on my upper arm, which hurts like hell,” she said. I’ve never taken medication in my life until this week. I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgment for the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being.”

With her recurring health issues, only time will tell how long the Wendy Williams Show will be on air.
