The highly-anticipated special Friends: The Reunion has been a long time in the making, and its release is finally on the horizon. HBO Max shared a brief teaser for the upcoming reunion special and revealed its official release date and an impressive slate of guest stars.

Friends: The Reunion will premiere on May 27th, marking the one-year anniversary of HBO Max’s launch. It was supposed to premier one year earlier, but its release date has been postponed because the shooting couldn’t take place as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to revealing the release date, the short teaser for Friends: The Reunion shows the original six cast members—Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller)—slowly walking together to a melodic rendition of the show’s iconic theme song.

The six stars returned to the comedy’s original soundstage Stage 24 for the reunion, and they were in pretty good company. The impressive list of guest stars making a cameo in the reunion special includes the likes of David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon, and many more.
