National Board Of Review just kicked off the awards season by unveiling its list of honorees for the year 2018. They named Green Book as the best film, but A Star Is Born was still the big winner of the night thanks to picking up three major awards.

Bradley Cooper managed to scoop best director award for this critically acclaimed musical about star-crossed lovers. He lost best actor award to Viggo Mortensen, but his co-stars Lady Gaga and Sam Elliott came out swinging in their respective categories, cementing their status as Oscar favorites.

The list of winners includes a couple more Academy Award hopefuls, including Regina King, who collected best supporting actress award for her career-defining turn in If Beale Street Could Talk. It remains to be seen if any of these movies and actors make the cut as awards season progresses, but some of them are a pretty safe bet.
