If the first season of FX’s hit series The Bear left you hungry for more, we’ve got some good news for you. Less than a month after the critically acclaimed drama premiered on FX on Hulu, the network announced they’re ready to turn up the heat by renewing it for Season 2.

The Bear centers on Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a young chef who leaves a successful career in the world of fine dining behind to run a family sandwich shop in Chicago following his brother’s suicide. While still grappling with the impact of a family tragedy, he must find a way to revive a failing restaurant with the help of his rough-around-the-edges crew.

Eric Schrier, FX Entertainment President, confirmed the show’s renewal in an official statement, praising its cast and crew for making it happen.

The Bear has exceeded our wildest creative, critical, and commercial expectations. We deeply appreciate the brilliant work led by creator and co-showrunner Christopher Storer and co-showrunner Joanna Calo… We can’t wait to get to work on Season 2,” said Schrier.

In addition to White, The Bear also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colón-Zayas. The first season premiered on FX on Hulu on June 23, and it currently holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
