Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney knocked it out of the park with the first two seasons of Welcome to Wrexham, and there’s more where that came from! The FX sports docu-series about the transformation of the Welsh soccer team Wrexham A.F.C. has been renewed for its third season.

Reynolds and McElhenney made a shocking decision to purchase a struggling Welsh soccer club Wrexham A.F.C. in 2020, despite having no experience in managing a sports team. They decided to chronicle their experience as owners in this docu-series, which sees Wrexham significantly improving and rising in the rankings since they decided to take over.

This underdog story became a huge hit with viewers and critics alike, and FX decided to renew it for another season ahead of the Season 2 finale on November 14.

Nick Grad, President of FX Entertainment, confirmed the show’s renewal and described its wild global success as a testament to the hope and devotion of the people of Wrexham.

“It’s a story that has only begun to be told and one that everyone can continue to follow along with in the third season. Our thanks to the creative team who captured these thrilling moments and everyone who achieved what seemed impossible only a short time ago,” said Grad in a statement.
