Atlanta became quite a critical darling since premiering on FX in 2016 and its final chapter is just around the corner. The fourth and final season is coming our way this fall and FX revealed what we can expect from it in the official trailer for Season 4.

After spending most of the past season in Europe, Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) are back in Atlanta, trying to figure out if their hometown has changed in their absence… or have they.

Donald Glover told ET that the theme of the final season was to simply “have more fun”. His brother and executive producer Stephen Glover echoed his statement and expressed hope that Atlanta will inspire other creators to experiment and have fun, as well.

“I think the legacy of it is going to be about experimentation and how much weird stuff we’ve been able to do, Hopefully, that leads other people to want to take risks and do weird stuff too. Hopefully, that’s the legacy we lead,” said Stephen Glover.

The third season of the series premiered earlier this year and ended up scoring three Emmy nominations. Season 4 is set to return to FX on September 15 and it will feature 10 episodes.
