Garbage will revisit its critically acclaimed record beautifulgarbage this year and reissue the album to mark its 20th anniversary. The group confirmed the news on social media announcing that the reissue will be out on October 1st, having the same release date as the original.

As part of the announcement, the band also unveiled a previously unreleased “Rough Mix” version of the album’s lead single “Androgyny.” Hear it below.

The beautifulgarbage reissue will contain remastered versions of the original songs alongside B-sides, alternative versions, demos, remixes, and live recordings. The album will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital format, and will have several different editions.

“Twenty years down the line, we are all exceedingly grateful to have such well-crafted songs in our discography and are very proud that against all the odds, we are still standing and can give our beloved album the tribute it so very much deserves,” said Garbage vocalist Shirley Manson in a statement.

beautifulgarbage was the band’s third studio effort. It was influenced by various music styles and marked a departure from the sound that Garbage had on their previous two records with a more melodic and direct approach. The album didn’t have a strong commercial performance but ended up receiving positive reviews from the critics. Several publications, including Rolling Stone, included it on their Top Albums of the Year lists.
