Gary Oldman is heading to television.
Multiple outlets report that the Oscar-winning actor joins the cast of Apple’s Slow Horses.
Oldman’s TV roles are far and few between. Perhaps his most memorable TV role is that actor on Friends that has a habit of spitting while saying his lines.
Oldman will set to star in the forthcoming espionage drama series based on Mick Herron’s book series that follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House. Oldman will star as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes.
Slow Horses hails from Veep writer Will Smith who will pen and executive produce the series.
