Genesis Will Reunite For First Tour in 13 Years!

British rock band Genesis confirmed that they’ll be heading on tour for the first time since there 2007 tour.

Genesis last performed together 13 years ago on the Turn It On Again Tour for their 40th anniversary. At the time, Collins said it was the band’s final farewell.

Fans were waiting for the announcement as the band hinted that something was happening on Instagram. The band’s official page posted a photo of the Collins, Banks, and Rutherford and captioned it, “And then there were three…,” an ode to the band’s first album as a trio, which was released in 1978.

The official announcement was made Wednesday morning on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 breakfast show and they said they’d be performing shows across the UK in 2020.

Genesis will be joined by Collins’ 18-year-old son Nicholas on drums and the band’s longstanding associate Daryl Stuermer on guitar and bass.

Peter Gabriel, the founding member who left the band in 1975, won’t join the band on tour.
