After co-writing the script for Barbie with Greta Gerwig, Noah Baumbach’s got his eyes set on his next project—and it will be one star-studded affair! George Clooney and Adam Sandler landed lead roles in Baumbach’s upcoming Netflix dramedy.

This project has been described as “a funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults”, but plot details are still being held under wraps. Baumbach is coming on board as its director and producer, in addition to co-writing the script with Emily Mortimer.

This film will mark Baumbach’s first collaboration with Clooney, but he and Sandler go back a long way. The Uncut Gems actor previously starred in Baumbach’s acclaimed dramedy The Meyerowitz Stories alongside Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, and Emma Thompson.

This upcoming film also marks the continuation of Baumbach’s fruitful collaboration with Netflix. The Meyerowitz Stories marked his first film with the streamer, followed by six-time Oscar-nominated Marriage Story and its follow-up White Noise, both starring Adam Driver.

Sandler is fresh from starring in several comedy films as a part of his Netflix deal, including You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah and the animated movie Leo. Clooney most recently directed the sports drama Boys in the Boat and will soon appear in Jon Watts’ action thriller Wolfs alongside his Ocean’s Eleven co-star Brad Pitt.
