After three years in the making, the Knives Out sequel is coming our way this fall, and Rian Johnson finally shared hints about its premiere date. Before heading to the theaters and Netflix, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

TIFF is the perfect place to share this highly-anticipated film with the world because Knives Out also had its world premiere at this festival in 2019. The official premiere date of its sequel hasn’t been announced yet, but TIFF is taking place from September 8-18.

Glass Onion will see Daniel Craig return as the gentleman detective Benoit Blanc and head to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects. The star-studded ensemble now includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is set to premiere on Netflix around the holidays after the streaming giant acquired the right for two sequels for a reported sum of $469 million.  Senior executives discussed the possibility of giving this film a 45-day window in theaters before releasing it online.
