The Global Citizen Prize special is coming to NBC this Friday, and it will truly be a night to remember. In addition to featuring several amazing performers this event will also feature its inaugural awards ceremony.

The main goal of this award show is to shine a light on “world leaders, artists, business leaders, and youth activists who keep the world’s poor at the forefront of their life’s work.”

In addition to celebrating individuals taking action to end extreme poverty, this award show will also feature remarkable stories and several amazing musical performances.

John Legend will host and perform during the show, but he’s not the only A-list star giving his contribution to Global Citizen Prize special. The list of performers also includes Jennifer Hudson, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stormzy, H.E.R., and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

The ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall in London today, with Connie Britton, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Leona Lewis and more presenting the awards.
