“Godzilla: King of the Monsters” Trailer Debuts at Comic-Con

Vera Farmiga and Millie Bobby Brown in "Godzilla: King of the Monsters"

Millie Bobby Brown is used to fighting monsters, but her biggest challenge is yet to come. Stranger Things star made her big movie debut in the newly-released trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

The trailer kicks off with the young actress fleeing a disaster as the city falls around her. Her scientist mother, played by Vera Farmiga, explains our world will perish unless we find a way to fight dangerous monsters coming back to Earth. As the trailer heats up, it becomes clear Godzilla won’t be the only threat mankind will face.

Just as the official synopsis suggested, several god-sized monsters will fight for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance. Mothra, Rodan and Godzilla’s ultimate nemesis King Ghidorah will make an appearance in the upcoming blockbuster. Crypto-zoological agency Monarch will be in charge of banishing these titans and saving the world.

We’ll have to wait until May 31, 2019, to see who comes out victorious after this epic battle. That’s the date when Godzilla: King of the Monsters premieres in the US. Bobby Brown and Farmiga won’t be the only ones fighting the good fight. They are a part of much larger, star-studded cast which includes Kyle Chandler and Bradley Whitford. Oscar-nominees Sally Hawkins and Ken Watanabe will also reprise their roles from the 2014 Godzilla film.
