The Gorillaz are in the midst of an ongoing project titled Song Machine. Each of the five songs previously released has seen them teaming up with a different artist. And it seems that the sixth song will bring the biggest collaboration yet.

On their Twitter account, the animated band confirmed their next song will feature one of goth rock’s greatests, Robert Smith. The tweet shows the band members in their spacesuits, standing on an alien planet with a picture of the cure’s frontman in the background. The tweet promises Smith will participate in the coming song and urges listeners to follow the project on a range of platforms—Spotify, Deaser, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music, or Soundcloud. The song title or release date is still unknown.

Previous collaborations of the band include “Pac-Man” feat. ScHoolboy Q, “Friday 13th” deat. Octavian, “How Far?” feat. Tony Allen and Skepta, “Aries” feat. Peter Hook and Georgia, “Désolé” feat. Fatoumata Diawara, and “Momentary Bliss” feat. Slowthai and Slaves.

Apart from Song Machine, which will feature 10 songs, the band is scheduled to release The Gorillaz ALMANAC in October. It’s a hardcover, published by Z2 Comics, which consists of more than 120 pages of games, puzzles, comic strips, and other artwork.
