“Grace and Frankie” to End After Seven Glorious Seasons

Grace and Frankie was one of the first sitcoms that had us binge-watching Netflix all day long, and its ending feels like the end of an era. Unfortunately, all things must come to an end and we’ll have to wave goodbye to this show after seven glorious seasons.

The news of its cancelation came with a silver lining – after a 16-episode order for its final season, Grace and Frankie became Netflix original with the most episodes, breaking the record previously held by Orange Is the New Black.

Netflix’s vice president of original series, Cindy Holland, bid farewell to Grace and Frankie in an official statement and praised this show for shining the light on the issues no other program explored with so much humor, understanding, and grace.

“Since its premiere in 2015, Grace and Frankie has expertly and hilariously demystified the experience of growing older and given a voice to the fastest-growing segment of our population. Jane, Lily, Sam, and Martin have become role models for fans that span generations around the world, and we are so proud to have been a part of the show’s journey from day one,” said Holland.
