It’s been almost a year since Grimes released her latest studio album Miss Anthropocene, and she decided to surprise her fans with its new edition of rave remixes just in time for New Years’ Day.

Miss Anthropocene Rave Edition is hitting the shelves on January 1st, 2021 and it will feature remixes of songs from the original album by Channel Tres, Modeselektor, BloodPop®, and several more artists. The album will also include two remixes that Grimes recently unveiled in a DJ mix for Apple Music.

Miss Anthropocene was released on February 21st, and it’s been described as “a concept album about the anthropomorphic goddess of climate change: a psychedelic, space-dwelling demon/beauty-queen who relishes the end of the world.”

Grimes’s latest album produced the singles “Violence”, “So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth”, “My Name Is Dark”, “4ÆM”, and “Delete Forever”, all of which preceded its release. It topped Billboard’s top dance/electronic albums chart and made it to no. 32 on the Billboard 200.
