American singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and actress Gwen Stefani announced that she will be performing a 25-date residency in Las Vegas dubbed Gwen Stefani – I’m Just a Girl.
Stefani’s show will be designed exclusively for Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino where the residency will take place. The theatre seats 70,000 and features high-definition projects and LED walls. Other big names like Jennifer Lopez and Backstreet Boys have also hosted residencies at the impressive theatre. Lionel Richie will also be returning this summer.
“To be able to do a show in Vegas is such an incredible honor. Growing up in Anaheim, California, I could never have imagined one day having my own Vegas residency,” Stefani said in a statement. “I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I’ve never experienced and I can’t wait.”
The shows will commence on June 27th and will take a break after summer then return again for four dates over the Christmas holidays. Tickets go on sale this Friday and $1 per ticket will be donated to the Cure 4 the Kids Foundation, a charity that provides treatment to children with life-threatening conditions.
