Gwendoline Christie became a household name during her time on Game of Thrones, and she’s getting ready to star in another high-profile series. The Emmy-nominated actress landed a key role in the upcoming Addams Family-inspired Netflix series Wednesday.

This coming-of-age comedy, directed by Tim Burton, will chart Wednesday Addams’ mystery-infused years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Christie will play Larissa Weems, described as “the principal of Nevermore Academy who still has an ax to grind with her former classmate Morticia Addams.”

Christie will be in a pretty good company when this series premiers on Netflix since its main cast includes Jenna Ortega in the titular role, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Catherine Zeta-Jones will star as Morticia Addams. The supporting cast will include Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, and Moosa Mostafa.

Christie made a name for herself with the Emmy-nominated role on Game of Thrones and later went on to play Captain Phasma in the Star Wars franchise. She most recently appeared in movies The Personal History of David Copperfield and Our Friend and is currently attached to Netflix’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic book series The Sandman.
