Hawkeye is one of countless Marvel shows that Disney+ has in development, and we’ve just got a little bit more excited about this project. Hailee Steinfeld is currently in talks to join this show and take one of the pivotal roles.

A Hawkeye series has been officially announced during this year’s Comic-Con, and it’s scheduled to premiere in late 2021. Mad Men writer Jonathan Igla will serve as showrunner, and he’ll focus on telling the story of Clint Barton passing the mantle to Kate Bishop, who ends up becoming a new Hawkeye.

If negotiations between Hailee Steinfeld and Disney+ go well, we’ll see the Oscar-nominated actress taking on the role of Bishop and becoming the main hero of this exciting series.

Steinfeld recently voiced Gwen Stacy in the critically acclaimed animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and had an opportunity to save the world alongside giant robots in well-revived Transformers spin-off Bumblebee.

Hawkeye series won’t be her first TV project since she’s soon set to appear on Dickinson, a humorous take on Emily Dickinson’s life.
