Halle Berry will be co-starring with Mark Wahlberg in Netflix’s upcoming spy movie Our Man From Jersey.
Wahlberg will also be producing the film with Stephen Levinson from a script from David Guggenheim.
Film details have been kept under wraps, but it’s been described as “a blue-collar James Bond.” According to Variety, the film is set to start filming early next year in London.
Berry has been in lots of action movies including Die Another Day, the X-Men franchise, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. She just completed filming on Moonfall.
Berry won an Oscar for Best Actress for 2002’s Monster’s Ball, which made her the first and only Black woman to earn the award. She also earned an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and NAACP Image Award.
This Netflix project continues the actresses’ relationship with Netflix, which recently acquired her directorial debut Bruised. Berry also stars in the film, playing a mixed martial arts fighter.
