The Oscar-winning star Halle Berry set her eyes on her next project—and she’ll be producing it, as well. The X-Men actress is set to appear in the psychological thriller The Process and produce it through her HalleHolly company alongside her partner Holly Jeter.
The Process centers on a seemingly happily married couple Peter and Kirsa, who are forced to examine their lives, careers, and ultimately their marriage after attending a weekend seminar hosted by a renowned self-help guru Aiden.
Their relationship and sanity are quickly put to the test during this seminar due to their differing approach to Aiden’s “process”. Peter immediately buys in, while Kirsa is trying to resist Aiden’s cult of committed volunteers, creating an even bigger divide between the two.
Tara Miele will direct this film, based on Levin Menekse’s script, which she described as gripping, emotionally resonant, and essential in this moment.
“I’m thrilled to get to bring this gem to life and to collaborate with Halle Berry, who brings such raw, real presence to the screen as an actress and is also an incredibly thoughtful collaborator and savvy producer,” said Miele in a statement.
Berry is attached to several more upcoming projects, including the Netflix sci-fi movie The Mothership and the action thriller The Union.
