When Calls The Heart is one of Hallmark Channel’s signature shows, and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. The beloved series has been renewed for its tenth season, and Lindsay Sturman is set to come on board as the new showrunner.

When Calls the Heart follows the journey of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher from a wealthy family, whose life turns upside down when she leaves the big city behind to become a teacher in a small coal-mining town in the west.

Lisa Hamilton Daly, the executive vice president of programming at Crown Media Family Networks released a statement announcing the show’s renewal, which has been an essential part of Hallmark’s programming for almost a decade.

When Calls the Heart continues to push the limits as to what we can achieve with this show. There are many more stories still to be told about the lives of the beloved characters in this series and we cannot wait for everyone at home to tune in to see what unfolds,” said Hamilton.

The leading lady Erin Krakow, who also serves as one of the show’s executive producers, promised “more adventures, laughs, tears, and stories of romance throughout the community of Hope Valley” in Season 10.
