Brits can’t get enough of Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. The singers have always been popular in their native country, but the latest chart data has proven just how much.

According to the Official Charts Company, Style’s track “As It Was” is the UK’s biggest single of the year.

Released as the lead single from the musician’s third studio album, Harry’s House, the song has featured in almost every single TikTok video since April 1. It entered the UK Singles Chart at the top and stayed there for 10 weeks. During that time, “As It Was” was streamed 95 million times and earned 33,000 digital downloads.

Although he may have been pipped at the post, Sheeran featured three times amongst the Top 10 singles for 2022.

The collaboration between the “Shape of You” artist and Fireboy DML entitled “Peru” came in 2nd place, while Sheeran’s tracks “Bad Habits” and “Shivers” reached 4th and 6th, respectively.

When it came to the 2022 album charts, Harry and Ed did a role reversal, as the latter’s 2021 album was named the most streamed and downloaded of the year to date. Styles was not far behind, with Harry’s House coming in second.
