It’s a sign of the times when Harry Styles joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe…

According to Matt Donnelly from Variety, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer has been cast in The Eternals which will officially be released next month.

Styles is reportedly playing Eros, the brother of Josh Brolin’s character Thanos, who has been described as carefree and womanizing. This is the Grammy Award winner’s biggest on-screen role, having previously starred in Dunkirk from Christopher Nolan.

“I started acting when I was younger in school. I’ve always liked it, and have always been a massive fan of movies,” Harry previously said.

As part of The Eternals, the former One Direction member joins a formidable cast of Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumal Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Kit Harington, and Angelina Jolie.

“We will have a very big effect on the future of the MCU with what happens in this film,” stated director Chloé Zhao.

The Eternals is scheduled for release on November 5th
